Man Arrested for Selling Vehicle While Owner sat in jail
Cameron Blake Spires, 32, has been arrested for the unauthorized sale of a vehicle while the owner was incarcerated. The stolen Lexus was recovered, and additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
COFFEE COUNTY DRUG UNITS HIT BROXTON RESIDENCE IN MAJOR TRAFFICKING BUST
On April 17, 2026, agents with the Douglas Coffee Drug Unit and D.I.C.E. executed a search warrant in Broxton after a months-long investigation led to the seizure of 3lbs of marijuana, THC vapes, firearms, and cash. 24-year-old Gene Price Gorden III was arrested and faces serious felony charges.
Westgreen Community just got a rid of a major drug problem
On April 8, 2026, the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit, with assistance from the D.I.C.E. Unit, executed a search warrant in Westgreen, Georgia, resulting in the arrest of Terry Britt Jr. Authorities seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, and Schedule III narcotics, along with multiple firearms. As a convicted felon, Britt is prohibited from possessing weapons.
A busy month for DCDU!
Between March 17–22, 2026, multiple Douglas traffic stops led to six arrests. Authorities seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and stolen firearms, with charges ranging from possession to trafficking and firearm-related offenses.
Arrest Made in Greenfield Circle 4-Wheeler Theft
An arrest has been made following the theft of a red Honda 4-wheeler from the Greenfield Circle area. The stolen vehicle was recovered in Nicholls, and James Hilliard was arrested and charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. Additional juvenile suspects were involved.

Drug Agents with the D.I.C.E. Unit (Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement) made multiple arrests this week as part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activity and related crimes across Coffee County.
Man Taken Into Custody After Armed Barricade Incident
On the evening of December 1, 2025 Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the area of Kingwood Road in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival it became clear that the incident was a domestic situation that had escalated beyond control.

On November 1, 2025, we officially launched the Drug Interdiction and Criminal Enforcement Unit (D.I.C.E.), a specialized team dedicated to proactive enforcement aimed at stopping criminal activity in transit along our county’s key transportation routes. Working hand-in-hand with the DCDU and our Criminal Investigative Unit, the D.I.C.E. Unit focuses on identifying and intercepting criminal operations before they reach our neighborhoods. Each agent has received specialized training to better detect and disrupt street-level crime in areas known for criminal activity.
