60-Year-Old Arrested After Suspicious Behavior Prompts Vehicle Search in Coffee County

COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. – On July 7, 2026, a 60-year-old female driver was arrested on narcotics charges following a vehicle stop in the area of Spring Oak Street in Douglas.
While patrolling the area, law enforcement personnel observed a white Honda Accord display unusual behavior after passing their vehicle. The driver abruptly signaled, pulled over, exited the vehicle, and opened the trunk. Deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office activated emergency lights and pulled behind the vehicle to conduct a welfare check and investigate the suspicious behavior.
Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Lisa Faye Smith Oliver, age 60, law enforcement obtained consent to search the vehicle. During the search, a glass pipe and a crystal-like substance wrapped in yellow plastic were located inside the center console.
Oliver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken into custody and transported to the county jail, where she was served with an arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
