The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement Unit
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement Unit (D.I.C.E.) is a specialized, proactive enforcement team dedicated to identifying, disrupting, and dismantling criminal activity throughout Coffee County. Established to strengthen the agency’s response to evolving crime trends, the D.I.C.E. Unit plays a critical role in protecting the community by targeting illegal narcotics, weapons offenses, and individuals engaged in ongoing criminal behavior.
Unlike traditional response-based policing, the D.I.C.E. Unit operates with an intelligence-driven approach, focusing on the detection and interception of criminal activity before it escalates. Deputies assigned to this unit are trained to identify indicators of drug trafficking and other illicit conduct, particularly along major roadways and known trafficking corridors that pass through the county.
The unit works in close coordination with the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit, the Criminal Investigations Division, and regional law enforcement partners to support complex investigations, execute search warrants, apprehend fugitives, and conduct targeted enforcement operations. Through these collaborative efforts, the D.I.C.E. Unit enhances the Sheriff’s Office’s ability to combat crime at both the local and regional levels.
Committed to proactive policing and public safety, the D.I.C.E. Unit serves as a frontline defense against the flow of illegal drugs and criminal activity—ensuring that Coffee County remains a safe place to live, work, and travel.
