Coffee County, GA (June 8, 2026) — The Coffee County Sheriff's Office continues to work alongside the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) following a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a Coffee County man and resulted in the arrest of three individuals.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting at a residence located on Broxton West Green Highway. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Dustin Ryan Bowen, 34, of Douglas, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Coffee County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Through the joint investigation, authorities determined that Bowen was shot multiple times during a dispute involving a canine.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, the GBI has arrested and charged Breanalee Nichole Lollie, 24, of Douglas, with Party to the Crime of Murder, and Raymond Ressler, 18, of Douglas, with Aggravated Assault. A 16-year-old juvenile from Douglas has also been charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault.
Lollie and Ressler were booked into the Coffee County Jail. The juvenile was transported to a Regional Youth Detention Center.
Coffee County Sheriff Fred Cole said the incident is a tragic reminder of the consequences that can occur when disputes are allowed to escalate beyond reason.
"Any loss of life is tragic, and this case serves as a stark reminder that personal disagreements, conflicts, and disputes over property should never result in violence," Sheriff Cole said. "There are lawful, safe, and effective ways to handle these situations. If you need to retrieve property, conduct an exchange, or resolve a matter that could potentially become confrontational, call 911 and request the presence of law enforcement. Our deputies are available to help keep the peace and ensure everyone's safety."
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Douglas at 912-389-4103.
