Isolated Incident occurred in the Coffee County Jail

Coffee County- On July 7, 2025, an incident occurred within the Coffee County Jail involving an individual who is currently receiving medical care. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, Sheriff Fred Cole has requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to conduct a full and independent investigation.

All appropriate family members have been notified and are  aware of the situation.
