DCDU Arrest Two on Trafficking Charges

Coffee County, Georgia — On December 30, 2025, Agents with the Douglas Coffee Drug Unit (DCDU) executed a search warrant at a residence located near Trojan Way as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Upon arrival at the property, Agents were led on a brief vehicle pursuit that concluded on Highway 441 North. The pursuit caused a short disruption to traffic in the area but was resolved quickly and safely. Inside the vehicle were 35-year-old Joel Dooley of Douglas and 44-year-old Leondra Carmichael Dooley of Douglas. Both individuals were detained without further incident and transported to the Coffee County Jail.
Following the detention, Agents with the DCDU, assisted by Drug Agents with the D.I.C.E. Unit (Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement), conducted a search of the residence. During the execution of the search warrant, Agents discovered approximately 12 ounces of cocaine and 12 pounds of marijuana, and 63 Oxycodone tablets. A number of firearms were also recovered during the investigation.

Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement (Misdemeanor)
Leondra Carmichael Dooley, age 44, of Douglas
Trafficking in Cocaine
Trafficking in Marijuana
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
This is the result of solid work by the DCDU. This unit was implemented specifically to engage in the disruption of the manufacturing, importing, distribution and use of illegal drugs in Coffee County.
