UPDATED: Suspect(s) Identified and Charged After Highway 158 Fight

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has issued this update to clarify and correct information previously released regarding a physical altercation that occurred on June 24, 2025, near West Highway 158 and Westwood Heights Circle.

Following further investigation and evaluation of evidence and witness accounts, the charges have been updated as follows:

Pedro Adolfo Vasquez, age 21, of Douglas, Georgia, has been formally charged with:

• Affray (O.C.G.A. 16-11-32), a misdemeanor involving mutual combat in a public setting

• Terroristic Threats (O.C.G.A. 16-11-37), for threatening violence with intent to terrorize another individual

Edgardo Ismar Garcia, age 27, of Douglas, Georgia, has been charged with:

• Affray (O.C.G.A. 16-11-32), a misdemeanor

• Battery (O.C.G.A. 16-5-23.1), for intentionally causing substantial physical harm or visible bodily harm to another

The investigation confirmed that both individuals engaged in a prearranged fight that escalated into criminal behavior. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Coffee County Pre-Trial Detention Center.

This release supersedes all previous statements regarding the charges filed in connection with this incident.
