Fugitive if Justice hiding in plain sight… Now in jail
Justin Eugene Carver, 37, Douglas, GA
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Pennsylvania fugitive Justin Eugene Carver following an investigation conducted by a Detective with the Coffee County Sex Offender Unit.
On May 5, 2026, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office received information from the public regarding Carver possibly being in Coffee County. During the investigation, authorities confirmed Carver was wanted out of Pennsylvania on charges including Corruption of Minors, Disseminating Explicit Sexual Materials to a Minor, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Indecent Exposure, and Disorderly Conduct. Pennsylvania authorities confirmed the warrant was active and advised they would extradite.
Investigators later learned Carver was working in Smithfield, North Carolina. After law enforcement in North Carolina was notified of his possible location, Carver fled and returned to Coffee County.
On May 7, 2026, a Detective with the Coffee County Sex Offender Unit located a vehicle associated with Carver concealed behind a residence on Kamera Road. Deputies responded to assist, and Carver was found hiding inside the residence before being taken into custody without incident.
Sheriff Cole Stated “If you are an individual fleeing another state, city, or even county with any charge… stay out of Coffee County. Our Sex Offender Unit is the best in the state, and if you come here looking to hide, you’ve got another thing coming. We will find you, and we will work with agencies across this country to make sure you are brought to justice.”
Carver was transported to the Coffee County Jail and charged as a Fugitive from Justice pending extradition back to Pennsylvania.
