Drug Unit Executes Search Warrants leads to Multiple Arrests

On March 15, 2026, detectives with the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit executed two simultaneous search warrants at residences located on Wildwood Road and Mark Mobley Road as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine.

As a result of the operation, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

  • Michael Witt Sr. – Possession of Methamphetamine

  • Michael Witt Jr. – Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime

  • Dustin Bowen – Arrested on outstanding warrants; Possession of Methamphetamine

Under Georgia law, possession of methamphetamine is a violation of O.C.G.A. 16-13-30(a). This offense is classified as a felony and, upon conviction, carries a penalty of one (1) to fifteen (15) years imprisonment for a first offense.

Possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, including drug offenses, is a violation of O.C.G.A. 16-11-106. This charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five (5) years imprisonment, which must be served consecutively to any other sentence imposed.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
