Cocaine Discovered on Suspect After Arrest for Suspended License

On June 12, 2025, a Douglas Police Officer conducted a traffic stop which led to the arrest of Clemon Carter, Jr. for driving with a suspended license, a violation of Georgia Code O.C.G.A. 40 5 121.

Upon arrival at the Coffee County Pre-Trial Detention Center, officers discovered a small amount of suspected crack cocaine concealed in Carter’s sock. The Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit was notified and responded to the scene.

Carter was subsequently charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance under Georgia Code O.C.G.A. 16 13 30.

Carter remains in custody at the Coffee County Pre-Trial Detention Center.
