NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW

On June 12, 2026, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office received a report alleging inappropriate contact involving a child and Minix. Sheriff Fred Cole requested the independent investigative services of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to ensure an independent and thorough investigation.

As a result of the investigation, the GBI arrested Minix on October 9, 2026, and charged him with Sexual Battery Against a Child Under 16. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail.

Sheriff Fred Cole emphasized that no individual is above the law.

“Doesn’t matter who you are, where you work, or how much you contribute to this community. If you break the law or violate another person, we will investigate it, and we will hold you accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Our responsibility is to protect this community, especially our children, and we take that responsibility seriously,” said Sheriff Cole.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Upon completion, the case file will be forwarded to the Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
