Eastman man arrested in Coffee County for Trafficking Crack Cocaine

COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. On July 21, 2026, Agents with the Douglas Coffee Drug Unit arrested Kendall McDuffie, 42, of Eastman on a cocaine trafficking charge following an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the investigation, McDuffie was identified as a person of interest in the transportation of illegal narcotics. Agents intercepted McDuffie while he was transporting the suspected cocaine, safely surrounded the vehicle, and took him into custody without incident.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a plastic bag containing a large circular white rock substance believed to be a "cookie" of crack cocaine.

McDuffie, a resident of Telfair County, was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine in violation of O.C.G.A. 16-13-31(a)(1). He remains in custody at the Coffee County Jail.

Chief Brannen Pruette of the City of Douglas Police Department emphasized the continued commitment of local law enforcement to aggressively combat drug trafficking.

"Trafficking narcotics into our community is not something we will tolerate. We will continue working alongside our law enforcement partners to hold those responsible accountable and protect the citizens of Douglas."

Coffee County Sheriff Fred Cole echoed that message with a warning to those who choose to traffic illegal narcotics into the county.

"Bring drugs into Coffee County, and understand one thing: you are not coming to do business. You are coming to meet us. Every road leads to the Coffee County Jail. You aren't welcome here, and we will make sure you know it."

Kendall McDuffie is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
