Deputies bring two month search to an end arrest final defendant in federal investigation.
Christopher Brockington [Chris Brock], 44, of Douglas, GA
After nearly two months evading capture, the final fugitive from “Operation Cripple Business” has been apprehended. Christopher Brockington [Chris Brock], 44, from Douglas, was arrested without any incidents. Brockington was the last defendant still at large following the earlier FBI operation "Cripple Business." This successful capture was the result of a collaborative effort between the city and county narcotics units.
Operational Crippled Business was conducted as part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a successful initiative that collaborates various levels of law enforcement to decrease violent crime and enhance community safety.
Additionally, the case was pursued under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), which focuses on identifying, disrupting, and dismantling the most significant criminal organizations posing a threat to the United States, employing a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency strategy.
Sheriff Cole remarked, “This was the best outcome possible. I am proud of the work these guys put in every day.”
