Broxton Man Arrest on Cocaine Charges

Over several weeks, the Coffee County Sheriff's office received numerous tips from the community about illegal drug distribution. This information resulted in a search warrant being carried out on March 14th, 2025. Detectives from the Coffee County Drug unit executed the warrant near Joe Ellis Rd in Broxton, Georgia, specifically in the GiffordVille area.

As a result of the operation, a quantity of cocaine was uncovered and  59-year-old James Lee Gifford from Broxton was arrested for possessing cocaine.

Sheriff Fred Cole stated that the ongoing efforts to eliminate drugs from the streets are greatly aided by community tips. Our commitment is to continue working daily to rid the community of drugs and warn that anyone involved in the production, sale, or purchase of drugs in Coffee County should expect to go jail in time.
