Captain Todd Winkler is charged with overseeing the daily operations of both the Criminal Investigations Division and the Narcotics Division. He began his law enforcement career in 2001 as a Jailer at the Coffee County law enforcement center. Over the course of his twenty three years in law enforcement he’s worked in every capacity of the sheriff’s office with the majority of his career being in investigations. In January 2025 Captain Winkler was appointed Captain by Sheriff Fred T. Cole. With his dedication to making a lasting impact on the families of victims and offenders; Captain Winkler strives to ensure every investigation is handled with integrity and excellence.
